Quality of education amid pandemic

the system of education amid pandemic had changed and it was beyond different from the traditional way of classes. since online class and modular had been executed, students were disunited and had to stay at home. it was indeed  difficult to cope up a new system that is totally different from what students experienced before the pandemic.

today's education is not the process of gaining information and knowledges, most of the students felt like it is a cycle of finishing tasks and activities to pass and have high grades. it is a responsibility that students should do  despite the situation. the true essence of education had long gone because of the virtual classes. many students can't access online due to lack of internet connection and gadgets that are needed. online classes is efficient to those who are privilege.

moreover, conflicts and misunderstandings inside the home can affect  a student's  mental health. due to that, performing all the tasks that should be done can be delayed and even more worst, can let a student's hope and motivation to finish school will be lose. also, not every student is a fast leaners, reading the concept notes is not enough for them to understand the topic.

education amid pandemic can be a good idea but it is only for those who are privilege. a lot of students can't afford gadgets and can't study alone. inability to focus, students being diverge to fellow students and developing physical and mental problems are what a student can get from the new system of education.

Letter to Mr. President

Dear Mr. President,

The Filipino people are concern on issues and social injustices that our country is currently facing. I do have a lot of concerns too and I hope you’ll lend me your time and hear me out.  These concerns are getting out of control and my fellow Filipino people are suffering from it. Your people are in a situation that no one ever wanted to be in and I hope it concern you somehow.

When the corona virus was discovered in China, why did you choose to not cancel flights from that country? The virus had entered and it created chaos and destruction in the country. Poverty rate had increased more than the past few years and the Government was expected to help the Filipino people yet, corruption was also the issue. Your fellow Government official had been stealing money that are meant for the people, were you even concern? You weren’t because you’re also one of them. Please do focus on the ceaseless alarming issues rather than fighting with your fellow government official. The Philippines is one of the country that haven't open their schools yet, you have mentioned how you care for the youth, so please be alarmed by the fact you are being neglectful of your duty. We heard enough of your promises, please do act and bring your promises into reality.

I hope that the current situation of the country will be an eye opener for you to make good decision even in your last term. May you realize the unpropitious decision you had implemented and be able to feel guilty somehow. The Philippines’ state was never in the good situation and progress was never in your vocabulary. This country’s Government was never the best  and I thank you for resigning because your leadership showed how growth is being refused. Issues were never lessened and you, the president yourself, was the cause of these unsolved issues.

With deep concern,

Aaliyah

Consoling Breeze

A soft and gentle blow of a wind can console ones loneliness. It can be a gale or a sweet breeze at times. It blows the negativity away and lifts to leave the situation where despair and misery exist. It can be also  a raging storm that can make a person feel madness and rage. I am a breeze, I don’t want to be seen but I want people to feel my warmth and calm presence.

I love peace and silence to the point that I can stay in my room all day long and never associate myself with crowd. Most of the time, I am mistaken as snobbish and unapproachable person but those are way too far to the real me. My hobbies are to read books and entertain myself by watching k-pop. I am not physically active and I don’t want to engage any physical activities. When it comes to the people that are close to my heart, I tend to be soft and caring. I value these people so much and I don’t want them to feel anything but my love and care for them. I am no saint, I have bad attitudes and hold grudges to people but often, I choose to forgive and leave the gloomy feeling.

The future is something that we create plans for, though it is nothing but a mystery. I have dreams to achieve in the future. When I’ll go to college, I’ll take accountancy and will have the degree. I’ll be an accountant and I’ll spoil my parents with things and experiences they never got to experience and have. Traveling the world is also something that I am looking forward to do with my family and my future someone.
